Clinical history

This patient presented to the emergency department at Cliniques Universitaires St-Luc with symptoms of an acute stroke. A technologist performed a CT brain scan using the IQon Spectral CT system.

Clinical significance

Spectral results from the IQon Spectral CT were available in less than three minutes post scan. The low MonoE improved the visualization of the perfusion defect in the pons.

Spectral Magic Glass on the IQon Spectral CT allows for simultaneous comparison of multiple spectral results for a specific region of interest.
