Contrast enhancement of hepatic metastasis

Case Study
Philips CT Clinical Science Philips Healthcare • USA

Clinical history

This patient was referred to Kunaboto Chuo Hospital for an abdomen scan. The technologist performed the exam on the IQon Spectral CT scanner.

The images acquired on the IQon Spectral CT showed a hepatic metastatic lesion.

Clinical significance

MonoE 40 keV enhances contrast agent remarkably in comparison with conventional CT. This case shows that monoE 40 keV can visualize hepatic metastasis clearly. In this case, the low monoE helped the physician with the treatment plan.

Results from case studies are not predictive of results in other cases. Results in other cases may vary.
