Clinical history

This patient was referred to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center for an abdomen CT scan to evaluate a malignant lesion on the adrenal gland. The technologist used the IQon Spectral CT system to perform the exam.

  • 330 mGy × cm DLP
  • 5 mSv (k=0.015)* effective dose

Clinical significance

The IQon Spectral CT system provides the ability to determine therapy response through contrast enhancement in lesions. In the above case, Spectral Tumor Tracking showed the adrenal gland and complex lesion.
