Case Study
Philips CT Clinical Science Philips Healthcare • USA

Clinical history

This middle-aged male presented with sudden onset of chest pain and shortness of breath. He was referred for a cardiac CT scan on the IQon Spectral CT system.

  • 18.0 mGy CTDIvol
  • 288.mGy x cm DLP
  • 4.0 mSv effective dose

Clinical significance

The cardiac CT data obtained on the IQon Spectral CT showed multi-vessel disease. In this case, the coronary arteries were better visualized by the clinician because of the improved low-contrast resolution capabilities seen using lower MonoE and the Spectral Comprehensive Cardiac application.

* The IQon Spectral CT is not yet CE Marked. Not available for sale in all regions.

** Results from case studies are not predictive of results in other cases. Results in other cases may vary.
