This older female arrived at UCL Brussels complaining of chest pain. She was referred for a chest CT scan on the IQon Spectral CT system.

Clinical significance

Because the technologist scanned the patient on an IQon Spectral CT, Z effective images were available to help the clinician confirm a small, right lower lung defect, as well as provide a clear view of the PE. The IQon Spectral CT provides tissue characterization and visualization for confident disease management.
