Obese patient with liver lesion on Ingenia 1.5T

Patient history

An obese patient with a liver lesion underwent MRI on Ingenia 1.5T with the dS Torso coil at the University Medical Center Utrecht, the Netherlands.

MR examination

The dS Torso coil is used with large coverage. Patient positioning is easy with the strapless design for patient comfort.

Ingenia 1.5T mDIXON produces four image contrast types in one acquisition and provides uniform fat suppression, better SNR than eTHRIVE, and excellent spatial resolution.

On this image of the lesion in the liver can be clearly seen. 
SNR and overal image quality are very good for a patient of this size.

DWI with three b-values nicely demonstrates the lesion in the liver.
Note the good fat suppression and low distortion due to Ingenia Xtend FOV and high homogeneity.

Clinical impact of using Ingenia 1.5T with dS Torso coil and mDIXON

This exam demonstrates high SNR and good image quality even in this large obese patient The images show the capabilities of the  Ingenia 1.5T with the dS Torso coil.

The dS Torso coil provides large coverage, easy patient positioning and strapless design for patient comfort. The dStream digitization in the coil provides high SNR.

Appying dS-SENSE in all imaging directions helps to speed up scanning.

mDIXON produces four contrast types in one acquisition and provides uniform fat suppression, better SNR than eTHRIVE, and excellent spatial resolution.
