Patient history

A 61-year-old patient with pancreas cancer and lymph node and liver metastases underwent MRI for first staging after chemotherapy. MRI was performed at Radiologie am St. Joseph Stift, Bremen, Germany.

Diagnosis

The tumor is visualized in the head of the pancreas, surrounded by the lymph node metastases and one liver metastasis. T2-weighted MultiVane XD images and T2W SPIR show the size of the tumor regression.

Clinical impact of MultiVane XD motion correction

Together with diffusion and dynamic imaging this exam provides excellent image quality and gives us a confident measurement for staging.
