Three and a half days

Course description
This course is especially designed for cardiologists, radiologists and residents with no experience in cardiac CTA.

There will be 50 selected cases assessed, using the latest update of Philips software dedicated for cardiac CT. During the “do it yourself” (DIY) sessions supervision by cardiac CT specialists of the cardiology and radiology staff will guide the participants to complete the cases. Coronary angiography will be available in many of the cases as a reference. All CTA and corresponding invasive coronary angiography cases have been analyzed by staff members of the cardiac CT and Invasive cardiology department. For the live cases there will be an audio/video connection with the CT Lab in the hospital.

CIRC Level 1 course objectives
  • To offer background information about the scanner physics, contrast dynamics, acquisition methods, administration of medication to enhance image quality and know how to report a case
  • To get familiar with the software and interpretation of images by using a systematic way of reviewing, and detect coronary stenosis and plaque
  • To detect artifacts and pitfalls, correlate CTA to angiography, and detect extra cardiac abnormalities

 

Fifty selected cases will be completed towards Level 1 certification. Five live Cardiac CT cases.
