ExamCard purpose

The purpose of this ExamCard is to obtain the complete overview of arteries of the whole head in a simple procedure. A 3D volume is acquired with information about the intracranial, extracranial, carotid and vertebral arteries and the Circle of Willis.



- Submillimeter resolution

- CENTRA for high resolution arterial CE-MRA with venous suppression

- SENSE x 6 to obtain the whole brain in a scan time of 1 min.

- Ultra high resolution: 0.68 x 0.68 x 0.5 (oc) mm, 365 slices

- Using 8-channel SENSE or 6-channel SENSE Head coil

Patient preparation

Prepare contrast injector.

Contrast agent / injection protocol

Suggested injection protocol: 20 ml 0.5M Gd @ 1.5 ml/sec + 30 ml flush @ 1.5 ml/sec.

Post-processing / analysis

Standard rotational MIP for quick evaluation.
