ExamCard purpose

This release 2.5 ExamCard is optimized for breast imaging with the 7-channel Breast coil. There is an adapted version available for the breast mattress in combination with the SENSE Body coil.


The ExamCard contains an axial T2w TSE and axial high resolution 4D dynamic eTHRIVE sequence.


The resolution of the 4D-THRIVE sequence is 0.65 mm isotropic.

The Keyhole technique is used for four out of seven dynamics.

Scan time is 1 min. for the keyhole dynamics and 2.30 min for the full dynamics.


Automated post-processing (subtraction) is integrated in the ExamCard for the dynamic eTHRIVE sequence.

Contrast agent / injection protocol

A power injector is used for contrast administration. A gadolinium dose of 30 cc is used. Injection speed is 4 cc/sec. A saline flush of 20 cc is applied at the end.

The gadolinium injecton is started at the same time as the (manual start of the) second dynamic scan.

Post-processing / analysis

DynaCAD is used for post-processing. A dedicated hanging protocol is used.
