1.5T Run-off with blood-pool contrast agent - University of Washington Medical Center

ExamCard purpose

This release 2.6.3 ExamCard is designed for MR runoff studies with a blood-pool contrast agent on Achieva 1.5T. Blood-pool agents permit steady state imaging, allowing higher resolution and reducing timing errors. Scan time is 12:56 min.

ExamCard overview

Single injection moving table pMRA was done using 10 mL Ablavar (gadofosveset, Lantheus Medical. 


First pass was triggered at the aortic bifurcation using BolusTrak, with:  

Upper station: resolution 1.2 x 2.0 x 2.2 mm, scan time 13 sec.

Middle station: resolution 1.2 x 1.8 x 1.8 mm, scan time 13 sec.

Lower station: resolution 1.1 x 1.1 x 1.1 mm, scan time 70 sec. 


Sub-diastolic thigh BP cuffs (60 mm Hg) were applied for the mask and first pass only.


Steady state high resolution imaging was performed in all 3 stations (from lower to upper) with:

Lower station: resolution 0.8 x 0.65 x 0.65 mm, scan time 5:00 min.

Middle station: resolution 1.0 x 0.8 x 0.8 mm, scan time 2:47 min.

Upper station: resolution 1.0 x 0.9 x 0.9 mm, scan time 4:47 min.
