1. Survey: FOV 450 x 450 mm, voxel size 3 x 4 x 10 mm, 15 second breath hold.
2. mDIXON AX - W Pre: FOV 300 x 320 mm, voxel size 1.8 x 1.8 x 3 mm, foldover direction R>L , C-SENSE factor 3.2, 17 second breath hold.
3. 4D-TRAK XD: FOV 430 x 430 mm, voxel size 1.5 x 1.5 x 2 mm, 135 slices, SENSE reduction P = 3, S = 1.5, peripheral density 25%, 3.7 sec/dyn, footprint of 15 seconds, backward viewsharing.
4. mDIXON MRA coronal: FOV 430 x 430 mm, voxel size 1.3 x 1.3 x 3 mm, C-SENSE factor 8, 14 second breath hold.
5. mDIXON MRA AX - W Post: FOV 300 x 320 mm, voxel size 1.8 x 1.8 x 3 mm, foldover direction R>L , C-SENSE factor 3.2, 17 second breath hold.
Optional (not included in this ExamCard): an additional Ax B-TFE sequence may be added as second scan: FOV 350 x 380 mm, voxel size 1.5 x 1.5 x 7 mm, C-SENSE factor 1.5, scan duration is 1:18 min, free breathing.
The patient is instructed about the breath holds during the mDIXON MRA and 4D-TRAK XD sequences. During the 4D-TRAK XD sequence, the patient is instructed to hold their breath for as long as possible and then to shallow breathe when they cannot hold their breath any longer. Doing this breath hold helps to decreases the motion artifacts and which is important for visualization of the smaller vessels.
The 4D-TRAK XD sequence has a breath hold on the first dynamic to check for FOV and image quality. Most patients have been successful in holding their breath for almost the entire duration of the 4D-TRAK XD sequence.
AutoVoice is not used during the 4D-TRAK XD sequence but is for the remainder of the study.
Save raw data can be performed on the study in order to examine various viewsharing options with delayed reconstruction.
Subtraction of the 4D-TRAK XD sequence and subsequent MIPs can be performed on a single phase or a movie can be created by performing a single projection on all dynamics.
