ExamCard description

This Release 5.5 ExamCard for breath hold mDIXON MRA run-off is developed on the Ingenia Ambition 1.5T MRI system at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute.

It is taking advantage of the mDIXON technique, which allows subtractionless MRA, so there is no need for acquiring a pre-contrast data set. This leads to a fast examination and associated better comfort for the patient. Images may be fused using MobiView.

Pelvic station:  
FOV 430 x 430 mm, voxel size 1.3 x 1.3 x 3.2 mm, SENSE reduction P = 4, S = 2


Upper Leg station:
FOV 430 x 430 mm, voxel size 1.3 x 1.3 x 3.2 mm, SENSE reduction P = 4, S = 2


Lower Leg station:
FOV 430 x 350 mm, voxel size 1 x 1 x 2 mm, SENSE reduction P = 4, S = 2

Patient preparation

Patient is dressed in appropriate, non metallic gowns and an IV is started.

Contrast agent injection protocol

1.5 cc/sec for 10 cc of gadolinium

0.5 cc/sec for 5 cc of gadolinium

0.5 cc/sec for 20 cc of saline

Please refer to instructctuion provided by the contrast agent manufacturer.

Postprocessing

Due to the use of mDIXON MRA, there is no need to acquire a pre-contrast dataset and no need to perform any subtractions.

Using Volume View allows to cut and rotate the multiple stations, if desired and then fuse them together using MobiView
