ExamCard purpose

This release 2.1.3 Panorama HFO ExamCard has been created to scan both ankles with the ST Neck coil. Ideal for radiologists who prefer to screen both ankles first before concentrating on the symptomatic ankle.

Patient preparation

Sometimes it is essential to scan both ankles at the same time. With the ST Neck coil this is very easy to do.

 

Position the coil on the matress, put a pillow under the patient's legs to ensure comfort. Bind the ankles together with a band and with another band bind the feet in an upright position to the neck coil (see the photo below).

 

The ST Neck coil makes it easy to continue scaning only one ankle:

Remove the unaffected ankle from the coil and re-position the remaining ankle again.

Then continue with the same sequences. For the sagittal sequences, remove one stack and add one NSA to increase the image quality. For the transverse sequences minimize the FOV and add one NSA.
