ExamCard description

This Release 5.3 Ingenia MR-RT 1.5T ExamCard is applied for patients with brain metastasis referred for stereotactic radiotherapy treatment with DWI TSE and FLAIR.

ExamCard overview

The total scan time is 15:49min.


Axial DWI scan. Tumor typically shows high signal intensity on DWI images, and low signal intensity on ADC. This scan is used as a reference scan for tumor localization, and in the follow up to monitor recurrences.

Axial 3D T2W FLAIR. CSF is suppressed, to help differentiate between high tumor signal intensity and high signal of the CSF.

Axial 3D T1W FFE post contrast. This 3D sequence allows for reconstruction in coronal and sagittal planes, helping evaluation of the tumour and OAR delineations.

Patient preparation

MRI simulation using a radiotherapy positioning mask for immobilization. Use of FlexCoils L in combination with the FlexCoverage posterior coil.
