ExamCard description


This release 4 Ingenia 1.5T ExamCard is optimized for low contrast agent dose, large anatomical coverage peripheral MRA with high spatial resolution. It is mainly used for patients with intermittent claudication. In combination with a separate 4D-TRAK acquisition, it is also well suited for patients with chronic critical ischemia. Contrast medium dose can be reduced to 0.1 mmol/kg.

The ExamCard has been optimized by increasing AP coverage in all three stations (aortoiliac, upper legs and lower legs). This increase in scanning coverage improves SNR, thereby allowing lower contrast dose. An added advantage is easier planning because of the larger AP coverage in all the separate stations.

ExamCard overview

4D-TRAK is used for the dynamic scan of the lower legs.
The first run off is conducted without contrast agent.
Dynamic BolusTrak is for the contrast timing.
The second run off is conducted with contrast agent.

Patient preparation

Place the patient on the table in supine position with IV in right arm and arms next to torso.

Coils used: 2 Anterior coils and posterior coil integrated in the table.

Contrast agent / injection protocol

0.1 mmol/kg gadobutrol (Gadovist) injected at 0.6 mL/s, followed by 25 mL of saline injected at the same rate.

Post-processing / analysis

Subtractions of the first and second run off, MIPs of the subtracted images Orthogonal MIPs in all stations, fused with MobiView software.
