Clinical history

This patient was referred to GZO Spital Wetzikon for a follow-up CT scan to evaluate the stabilization of a fracture. The technologist used the IQon Elite Spectral CT scanner and O-MAR metal artifact reduction during the exam.


Clinical significance

The high MonoE spectral results provided by the IQon Elite Spectral CT in combination with O-MAR metal artifact reduction applied to bony structures that contain metal help to improve beam hardening artifacts that can interfere with a soft tissue evaluation.
