Arms-up imaging of HCC in liver

Kukuk, Guido, M.D. University of Bonn, Department of Radiology • Germany

A 78-year-old male patient with multifocal hepatocellular carcinoma underwent MRI at the Department of Radiology at University of Bonn (Bonn, Germany). With the patient’s arms elevated higher SENSE factors can be used. Therefore a support was used for arms-up imaging.

MRI was done on Ingenia 3.0T using a special support for arms up imaging. Images obtained with arms up and arms down Were scanned for comparison. Fat suppression was obtained with mDIXON TSE.
