Pelvic area MRI exam on Ingenia 3.0T

This clinical case study of a patient with a rectal tumor demonstrates the good image quality that can be obtained using the Anterior and Posterior coil on the Ingenia 3.0T system.

MR examination

Ingenia 3.0T is used with the dS Torso coil solution.

The patient is positioned supine and head first. The Anterior coil is positioned on the pelvic area. The Posterior coil, integrated in the table, is also used. Elements are automatically selected by the scanner. 

T2-weighted imaging is done in axial, coronal and sagittal orientation to obtain anatomical overviews of the pelvic area and the rectal tumor.

DWIBS scan is done with 6 b-values and with postprocessing. Coronal and sagittal MPRs are created of the b1000 images. Also an ADC map is generated.
