F-18 choline scan of clinically hyperparathyroid patient

Clinical history

This 72 year-old, clinically hyperparathyroid male was evaluated at Reinier De Graaf Gasthuis using F-18 choline. The technologist used the Vereos Digital PET/CT system and iDose⁴ reconstruction to perform the exam.

Significant findings

The images acquired on Vereos showed a small area of increased uptake in the neck, dorsal with respect to the left thyroid lobe, is identified. This has a strong suspicion for parathyroid adenoma.

Clinical benefit

This study shows the imaging performance of Vereos Digital PET/CT in small lesion detectability.
