Case Study
Philips NM Clinical Science Philips Healthcare • USA

Clinical history

This 72 year-old, clinically hyperparathyroid male was evaluated at Reinier De Graaf Gasthuis using F-18 choline. The technologist used the Vereos Digital PET/CT system and iDose⁴ reconstruction to perform the exam.

Significant scan parameters

  • 137 MBq
  • F-18 Choline
  • 33 min delay
  • 5 min/bed
  • 2 mm reconstruction

CT
  • 120kVp
  • 36 mAs

The images acquired on Vereos showed a small area of increased uptake in the neck, dorsal with respect to the left thyroid lobe, is identified. This has a strong suspicion for parathyroid adenoma.
