Cervical spine pain

Patient history

This 59 year-old female had been experiencing cervical spine pain for 1 year; had fusion of C5-6 and C6-7 in 2003. An MRI showed no significant clinical information. She was referred for a Tc-99m DPD bone scan on the BrightView XCT.

Diagnosis

SPECT/CT showed pathologic bone metabolism in the fusion area of C5-6 and C6-7 plus an easing/relaxation of the “cage” material used in the operation.
