Philips Healthcare is offering a range of courses through its CT Academy program. Below is the full list of cardiac, colon and spectral courses being offered by the Philips CT Academy in 2018.
Cardiac
The use of multi-detector CT (MDCT) in the diagnosis of various cardiac diseases has become increasingly important. MDCT is used for routine assessment of cardiac and vascular anatomy, the detection of coronary artery stenosis, post-operative follow up assessment and is now the gold standard for sizing and planning of Trans Aortic Valve Implant (TAVI).
An international faculty of cardiac CT experts with cardiology and radiology expertise are present throughout the course, to teach and provide mentored case reviews. The emphasis of the courses is to deliver high-quality education and innovative learning techniques. Each participant has his/her own workstation to review the cases.
Courses are designed around the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography’s (SCCT) curriculum. Attendance of both Level 1 and 2 or the combined Level 1/2 course meets all stipulated requirements for SCCT Level II accreditation in cardiac CT. Participants can do Level 1 in one location and Level 2 in a different location or opt to the combined course that covers both levels in one course. Some of the courses are endorsed by the SCCT.
