ExamCard purpose

This ExamCard is for imaging the axillary area using CIA to combine the Flex M+ and Flex L+ coils. The resulting coil combination has a large coverage that enables using a large field of view or large number of slices.

 

SENSE is used to shorten the imaging time.

 

T2w TSE Tra has a large coverage in the slice direction (48 slices).

PDw STIR has a large field of view (380 mm). NSA 2 is used to suppress the effects of axillary flow.

 

Total imaging time is about 20 minutes.

Patient and coil positioning

Position the coils for CIA perpendicularly to each other to apply SENSE. If smaller coverage is needed, coils can be positioned closer to each other.
