ExamCard with a new multislice mFFE scan protocol for good visualization of butterfly and nerve roots in the cervical spine. The voxel size is 0.8 x 0.8 x 3.0 mm.


The ExamCard is based on R2.6.3 and can be used with the SENSE Spine coil or the 8- or 16-channel NeuroVascular coil.


ExamCards can be downloaded for two different gradient configurations.

ExamCard overview


The axial mFFE sequence with a small FOV and thin slices covers three levels of the cervical spine. It is multi-echo fast field echo (FFE) sequence with five echoes. The summated image shows beautiful contrast between gray and white matter in the cord (butterfly).


The new multislice approach gives more consistent image quality.

Summation of the five echoes is integrated in the ExamCard for easy workflow. Summated images will be calculated automatically.
