1.5T Higher resolution breath-hold FFE sequences for abdomen

ExamCard purpose

New sequences are available to allow higher resolution images in a single breath hold. These are useful for both Intera and Achieva systems. The sequences use a combination of high SENSE factors and halfscan to provide a good compromise between resolution and scan time. The sequences also use shared REST slabs to minimize inflow effects from both arterial and venous blood which can cause ghosting artefacts in the abdomen. All these sequences can also be used post contrast if required.

ExamCard purpose

New sequences are available to allow sequences with the same resolution as the now standard pre-set procedures on the system in a shorter scan time. These sequences all have breath-hold times less than 10 seconds for use with patients who have difficulty in breath holding.

 

These are useful for both Intera and Achieva systems. The sequences use a combination of high SENSE factors and halfscan to provide a good compromise between resolution and scan time. The sequences also use shared REST slabs to minimize in-flow effects from both arterial and venous blood which can cause ghosting artefacts in the abdomen. All these sequences can also be used post contrast if required.
