ExamCard description

The ExamCard is available for Achieva 1.5T releases 2.5.3 and 2.6.3. It is designed for use with the Medrad endo coil in combination with a surface coil.


This ExamCard provides T2- and diffusion-weighted protocols for anatomic assessment. Static post-contrast imaging can be obtained with the e-THRIVE sequences and a dynamic sequence is provided for Dynamic Contrast Enhanced (DCE) uptake studies. 3D Spectroscopy is added as an advanced imaging technique.


This ExamCard is developed with help of University of Chicago, Chicago, IL, USA and Copenhagen University Hospital, Herlev, Denmark.

The DCE sequence consists of 100 dynamics. The first dynamic has a manual start and is used as pre-contrast dynamic. A manual start is needed to resume scanning when the contrast agent is being injected.

Patient preparation

Patient preparation is hospital specific.

Please refer to the Instructions for Use/Application Guide for proper Endo coil use.

Post-processing / analysis

Site specific in-line post processing such as ADC and EADC map generation can be added to the ExamCard.
