ExamCard purpose

This release 2.6 Achieva 3.0T ExamCard provides routine protocols for examining the knee for many pathologies i.e meniscal tears, torn ligaments and other sport related injuries.

The 8-channel SENSE Knee coil is used.

The SAG PDW aTSE has an asymmetric profile order. It provides good contrast between the articular cartilage and synovial fluid.

Patient preparation

The patient is placed on the table supine, feet first. The knee is immobilized with extra padding in the 8-channel SENSE Knee coil. The other knee is supported with padding along the side of the coil.
