ExamCard purpose

This release 2.1.1 Panorama HFO ExamCard has been created for routine breast imaging with the 4-channel ST SENSE Breast coil.

 

Bilateral axials include T1, STIR, T2 SPAIR,  Dynamic THRIVE.  Optional BLISS sagittal sequences are included.

Survey - an additional survey may be needed for optimal slice planning

 

Reference Scan - allows the use of SENSE and/or CLEAR.

 

Frequency Offset Scans - for choosing optimal frequency offsets.

 

STIR axial with CLEAR - if T2 SPAIR images do not have an even fat suppression.

 

T2 SPAIR axial with CLEAR - if STIR images do not have an even fat suppression.

 

THRIVE with CLEAR - dynamic scans may be set to the radiologist's preference. 

 

BLISS - bilateral sagittal images of each breast.

Patient preparation

The patient is positioned prone with the thin table padding under the coil. Deoderant should be cleaned off the patient.

Assure that the breast is pulled and that there are no skin folds below or around the breast.
