ExamCard purpose

This release 2.5.3 Panorama HFO ExamCard has been created for unilateral clavicular imaging using the ST Extremity coil.

 

With this ExamCard do not use SENSE, due to the unoptimal coil positioning.

 

A limitation for using this ExamCard could be the patient size as the coil loop must fit around the patient's neck.

 

In the coronal and axial plane there are 20 slices (3.0 mm), while in the sagittal plane there are 45 (4.0 mm) slices.

Patient positioning

Position the patient head first and the coil loops almost in a perpendicular fashion. Position one coil loop around the neck (let it tilt a little towards the clavicular area) and the other one around the head of the humerus.

 

Use sand bags and other accessoreis to secure the coils and for patient comfort.

 

Make sure that no loops are created in the coil cables and that there is no skin contact with any coil part.
