ExamCard purpose

This Release 2 ExamCard provides a collection of protocols to choose from for fast ankle imaging on Panorama HFO. The protocols are optimized for the ST Extremity coil and they are arranged in the ExamCard according to contrast.

 

SENSE is used for faster imaging. Scan times are around 2 minutes per scan.

FOV is 140 mm, voxel sizes range from 0.60*0.63*3.0 mm to 0.71*0.78*3.0 mm.

Patient positioning

Position the coil elements precisely perpendicular. Place the loop around the ankle over the joint, and the other loop on the side. The coil may be either handle up or down.

 

Use accessories and sand bags to stabilize the coil and for patient comfort.

A sand bag may also be used to hold the foot in flexed position (not shown in the picture below).

 

The other leg should be as far as possible to avoid foldover when using an R-L phase direction.

 

Make sure to avoid any loops in coil cables!
