ExamCard purpose

This Panorama HFO Release 2 ExamCard provides a collection of protocols to choose from for knee imaging. The protocols are optimized for the ST Extremity coil. The protocols are arranged in the ExamCard according to contrast.

 

SENSE is used for faster scans. Maximum scan time per protocol is under 3 minutes in this ExamCard. When coils are positioned perpendicular to each other (see photo below), SENSE can be used in all directions.

Coil positioning

Position the loop around the knee over the lower part of patella, and the other loop on the side. That side coil can be either handle up or down. The coil loops should be positioned carefully perpendicular to each other.

 

The other leg should be as far as possible to avoid foldover when using R-L phase direction. Use sand bags and other accessories to secure the coils and for patient comfort (not yet applied in the picture below).

 

Make sure to avoid any loops in coil cables!
