ExamCard purpose

This release 2.1.3 Panorama HFO ExamCard has been created for examinations of the brain using the ST Neck coil. Because this coil is more open, it can help to make claustrophobic patients feel more at ease. The scan time per sequence is approximately 2 minutes.

Positioning the coil

The coil is placed on the table in an inversed position.

In this position the outlet of the coil cable is towards the patient, so for patient comfort the coil cable needs to be shielded with pads.

Position the patient's head deep into the neck coil to ensure that the whole brain is covered by the coil loop. Center on the patient's eyebrows.
