ExamCard purpose

This release 2.6.3 ExamCard for Panorama HFO is optimized for imaging the soft tissue part of the head/neck region, from the skull base to the top of the thorax. This ExamCard contains transverse, coronal and sagittal sequences.

Coil selection

Either the ST Neck coil or the SENSE Head coil may be used with this ExamCard.

 

The ST SENSE Head coil enables visualization of the head/neck region from the base of the skull to the mandible. Depending on the length of the neck, it may be possible to scan to the top of the lungs.

 

The ST Neck coil around the neck is the best choice to image the lower part of the neck and the head/neck-thorax junction. The coil coverage is from C2 (mandible) to the top of the lungs. The right-left coverage is approximately 25 cm. This enables visualization of the posterior triangle (bilateral).
