ExamCard purpose

This release 2.1 Panorama HFO ExamCard has been created for shoulder imaging using the ST Extremity coil and SENSE. The advantage of using the ST Extremity coil is that SENSE can be applied in all scanning directions, enabling the scan times for each protocol to be approximately 3 minutes or less.

 

The coverage and scan times are adapted to be used with 20 slices.

 

It is recommended to use the fold-over option with the direction for coronal being R-L, for transverse A-P and for sagittal A-P

Patient positioning

Position the patient head first and the coil loops in a perpendicular fashion so that the coil elements are as close to 90 degrees as possible. This enables SENSE to be used in all directions.

 

Use sand bags and other accessories to secure the coils and for patient comfort (not yet applied in the picture below).

 

Make sure the coil cables do not create any loops and that there is no skin contact with any part of the coil.
