ExamCard Purpose

This ExamCard is a basic protocol for knee examination, covering the menisci, ligaments and bone marrow defects. It includes 7 sequences. BFFE3D sequences provide anatomical detail and cartilage information, especially when fluid is present in the joint.  Bone marrow abnormalities are best seen in IRFFE sequence. T2*FFE is good for menisci and ligaments.

Examination takes only 30 minutes.

Extremity coil used. Alternatively you can use the Flex-L coil.

All sagittal and coronal sequences share the same position slots. Transaxial plane is positioned so that it covers the patella.
